Director for Operations and Communication: Florence Biot[+]
Florence Biot

Mistress engineer in Sciences of information and communication (Lyon 1 University) and graduated of the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilisations (INALCO, Paris) where she holds a BA in Chinese studies, she was a Scholar of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Chinese government from 2001 to 2003 when carried out a semiological analysis of the contemporary Chinese public communication. She has worked successively …

... at the Research Institute for the Development (IRD, Paris) and at the Chinese-French Antenna in Human and Social Sciences (R.P.C.,Beijing). In 2004, she joined Centre asie Ifri (French Institute of International Relations) as project coordinator at the and was later in charge of China projects at the Fondation pour l’innovation politique before being one of the founding members of Asia Centre in 2005.

Florence Biot is currently Asia Centre’s Director for Operations and Communication where she also manages the CSCAP Europe Secretariat, as well as ECFR Asia Centre Deputy Director.

 

She now and then conducts iconological and mapping projects as well as contributions on China’s public communication to both China Analysis - Les Nouvelles de Chine and the Asia Centre’s Brainstorming group on China.

She now and then participates in activities related to China’s media as publishing articles in China Analysis-Les nouvelles de Chine or conducting iconological projects.
