« Tiananmen and the fall of the Berlin Wall, reflections twenty years after » avec Chen Jian, professeur d’histoire à l’Université de Cornell et détenteur de la chaire Michael J. Zak en relations sino-américaines. Diplômé des Universités de Fudan et East China Normal (M.A.) ainsi que de l’université de l’Illinois du sud (Ph.D), il est l’auteur de nombreuses publications, notamment : Mao's China and the Cold War (2001), The China Challenge in the 21st Century: Implications for US Foreign Policy (1998) et China's Road to the Korean War: The Making of the Sino-American Confrontation (1994). Chen Jian détient actuellement la chaire Philippe Roman en Histoire et Affaires Internationales à la London School of Economics.
